Basic composition is alumina-silica and is white in color. Contains approximately 20% organic carrier fiber, which burns out at a low temperature without affecting ceramic properties. Withstands temperatures to 2300 F (1260 C) and most corrosive chemicals.. Diameter: 1/4" to 2"
Twisted: Manufactured from ceramic wicking with a three-ply
twist.
Square Braid: Manufactured from ceramic fiber yarns, braided into a
dense square rope. Suitable when a denser rope than twisted is required.
Round Braid: Manufactured from ceramic fiber yarns, braided into a
dense round rope. Suitable when a denser rope than twisted is required.
Options include: wire mesh casing for improved abrasion resistance and graphite coating for increased lubricity.
Applications: Excellent for gaskets, packing and sealing.
Twisted. P1000TR Continuous filament, inorganic flexible fiberglass fibers, twisted together to form the desired cross-section. Ph Range: 0-14; Temperature: 1000 F (538 C). Resistant to most chemicals; will not burn or smolder; shrink-, swell-, and stretch-resistant; retains high tensile strength at elevated temperatures while maintaining great flexibility
Single Jacket. P1000S/J Continuous filament, inorganic flexible fiberglass fibers, braided into a single jacket construction over a center core of twisted fiberglass rope, thereby increasing stability over P1000TR. Ph Range: 0-14; Temperature: 1000 F (538 C). Resistant to most chemicals; will not burn or smolder; shrink-, swell-, and stretch-resistant; retains high tensile strength at elevated temperatures while maintaining great flexibility
Applications: Processing vessels, tanks, grooves furnace doors, covers, oven doors, flanges; in sheet metal and steel fabricating industries.
